Life is calling me away. Due to the local school system, I am basically being forced into homeschooling. They apparently can't handle a diabetic child. They called me yesterday and told me "The school would prefer if your child was at home due to her diabetes."

Lovely huh?

So while I love to keep in touch with folks and everything, I won't be able to be as 'social' as before To my friends, you will always be. To all others -- bite me.

Thought this was the place to put this. Until laters folks.

I'll miss my late night chat buddy.

I wish you luck with the homeschooling and everything else you're trying to get done. Give the school hell by makin your kid smarter than the rest of those kids, that'll learn em some good.

lol BoE nearly fainted when I provided them with a core curriculum.

Their workload this year will include Latin, Homer, Plutarch, multiplication/ division with decimals and fractions. Their reading will include 3 books a week and social studies may end up with visiting civil war battlefields. We are working now on getting some computer and science stuff (for experiments and stuff). We even found an engine that is made for KIDS to learn how to develope games.

Looking also in enrolling them in dance, karate, football and cheerleading.

Needless to say I laughed when the guy thought I was just a simple housewife. HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA! Plopping down 3 college degrees -- the look on his face was absolutely PRICELESS!

I'd say the internet is there for teaching, but there's too much dark, evil things lurking in the internet for your little 'uns.

The same dark, evil things they can find going to public school - just now I have a chance to make sure by standing beside them where ever they travel on the web. Unlike a teacher, I don't have 20 kids to keep an eye on, I just have three. kwim?

Mmmmm I dunno I learned a lot of dark, evil things at school, but def the majority is on teh intarwebz. I do wish you luck with your kids, don't push em too hard though, all work and no play makes [insert name here] a dull [insert boy/girl/person depending on gender].

make sure they interact with other kids though. Most of the kids I've seen from a homeschool background are terribly awkward in social situations!

Well I'm sure you know all that :P
