    Connection Interuption...

Ok so my current issue in game is that I get connection interuption... alot! It crashes the game and i have to relog sometimes it happens as soon as i login!

I currently have a 2mb connection speed through my wireless router.
PC specs: 2.8ghz proccesor, nVidea GeForce 8600 Graphics card, 2gb RAM

I live in England so i was wondering if it's my PING causing the problem mine is normally around 204. Don't know if this is normal so i wanted to compare it with everyone elses... (If its not this it's probably the router)

So If you wouldn't mind next time you go in game could you check and post your PING please. Just hit F1 and turn on framerate/ping option it should appear above the chat window... would really like to know whats causing this problem thanks.

    30-50 ping
I'm not sitting Indian style, I'm a grown ass man.

  3. A good ping is usually under 100. However, I know other EA players residing within the UK so being in England should not be a problem.
Your system specs are more than sufficient for EA. Your connection speed is higher than mine when I started, so that should be fine...
Something's causing your high ping. Do you have any other internet-using programs running?

  4. Seeding 25 1+gig torrents at max speed maybe? lol

playing on 56k worked for me for many years of ea so it's not your ping. Any ping spikes or does it CI randomly?

http://www.dslreports.com/tools might wanna check that your line is consistent, things like that may not show up when downloading. They certainly make a difference when gaming, any random spikes in other games?

Im not running any programs that are eating my bandwidth no downloads or anything. Ive been playing EA for years with a 0.5mb broadband connection never had this issue before.

Sometimes the ping spikes randomly and i get CI but it will normally resume, When I get CI and it doesnt resume the Ping is normally 'stuck' no fluctuations so when i log in and i instantly get CI the ping is always 500

thanks Telos im doing the line quality test now.

Athlete, here's a handy trick: go to Start > Run and type in MSCONFIG. Click on the Startup tab to see what applications are running in the background you might not be aware of. You might be surprised at what you find
