    Thumbs up Heres what i would do

    Well do to recent development i may or may not be a dev whern EA goes back up (hoprfully by next weekend despite the confusion) but if i was this a a basic list of what id do.
    1-Adjust Mob HP
    Most mobs have so much HP that it depriciates the fps style of the game. Therefore HP needs to be lowerd and maybe a bar added to tell you how much HP mobs have.

    2-Revise the loot system
    The current loot system can mess up if you lose the mobs body so im think it would be better to make all cash auto loot and change the system to make it easier to retrive items.

    3-Balence levels
    Levels are full of crap atm - its too hard to advance and takes hours

    4-Find a better way to utilized the stat system
    The stats system can be very frustrating due to its independance from the leveling system

    5-Fix bugs

    6-Revise quests
    The quests in the game so far need work mainly because of the changes made that cause EA:r to be different from either gold or booster

    7-Add the old weapons
    Some weapons and magics weren't it the game because there was just no space for them - like wands - hopefull the phylon weapons can also find a home in EA-R (well i liked them anyway )

    I love what you would do!But phylon guns looked like real guns so we want EA to have ya know fantasy.

    Well the lack of weapons armors magic and by proxy levels means we need to add something.

    I think the availability to modify weapons and change or alter their channel would help with that.
    I can't say much for other races but for the Blobs a fast machine gun type of gun would be awesome; it uses lots of ammo very quickly but does little damage each shot and has little to no aoe.

    I know, thats why I think it will help to alleviate the problem of low gun diversity. I do agree that there is a need for more weapons. Multiple options to choose from so its not just this lvl has this gun ect. More options can really add diversity to player style and teamwork. Groups of players can arm themselves differently so taht each player is an asset on their own.

    I think maybe a tradeskill system where you can use different parts to affect the type of damage the amount of damage the range splash effects or other stuff.

    exactly! certain weapons will have customization levels where you can add, alter or remove components of a weapon.

    IMO We need to get a few different types of gun for each stage, so that you don't see everybody with the strongest weapon just because it does the most damage.

    To the point, maybe some that are about the same but like.. a fast firing one, an aoe one and a very strong one per said amount of levels.

    New types of armor would also be nice :P

    Well guys your getting really into this.But decreasing and increasing components of a weapon is not gonna go out so good with all the krappy interface.For ex.The game play interface is terrible enough.So your gonna have to change standards before getting intermediate.

    I would love it if there could be a minimap of some sorts, with a larger map feature and pinpoints for quest locations, monsters... plants... ect..

    Would be best addition evar.

    Considering the scale of EAs map id say that this is an awesome idea. Ill make sure we look at doing this.

    Could possibly expand the mini map to see the map key.
    Ex:
    triangles are active quest locations
    squares are cities
    circles are npcs
    x's are group members

    The map would be limited by distance when it comes to seeing npcs and landmarks. Areas that have not been explored yet won't show up on the mini map, one will have to visit npcs that update you mini map "device." But obviously npc system will have to be made for that to work

  17. Or there could be a waypoint system where you drop one down where you are standing and it makes a path to the active quest on the minimap? And it shows the Direction to the waypoint in Blue and the quest in red on the compass.

    Also there should be an XP bar, where you choose a skill and it displays how much XP is left to go to the next level in that skill.

    Definitely need a way to track skills and levels. The way point system could be pretty cool so its easier to find important spots. A person could have 3 or so in their inventory and the way points need to be retrieved to use again.
    Although I don't think quests should have necessarily a line that tells you where to go during a quest. Half the challenge is just finding where you need to go, maybe another compass arrow pointing in the general direction and once you are in a certain distance the arrow will spin. So it can help with general directions but doesn't give an exact.

    about 3. i think maybe more levels would be nice. because 18 wasn't very much. and it took sooo long to level.

    i like the old e.a. guns too. maybe add more and dont take those away?

    I think that many many more levels should be added. Like the max level being 50, the guns would be spaced out further while more guns and armor added in. Leveling however, would be easier than the past rate so 50 levels wouldn't seem that bad and you wouldn't have to wait months for that last level.

    50 That is a bit high maybe 30 or even 25 because you want a pattern type.Heres my idea 1-10 will go by decently fast by killing ya know nooby thing such as Krosps,Stouts,and KANDRA'S.Than 10-15 more hard like it will take at least couple days to get 13 than to 15 it will be the same to get to 15.After thoughs levels when you get to 15-20-25(Maybe) take how ever long it would take but long than 10-15.Finally to 30 a intermediate time with a variety of weapons suck as Netty and other last guns and some extras!

    The idea is ok but not the best!But i try my best to help!

    Well I think the best leveling system would have each level be unique, each consecutive level adds a minute amount of time to each level. So each level is slightly longer than the last and over the span of 5 or so levels is a noticeable difference. Having groups of levels take the same amount of time to move on makes it seem like you actually haven't leveled and nothing is different other than the guns you can use. It really comes down to the leveling time system. However its configured depends on the amount of levels there are, 50 might seem long now but after guns, armor are added it could space out better and the leveling time would seem considerably different and more satisfying. Changing it to 25 or 35 levels is really no different, its all changing the leveling system time and tweaking guns, armor and some quest levels need to use them. I just think that having like 50 levels for example allows more room to add things and accurately space things out.

    What your saying is by level 50 is netty Posibly hopfully not the netty would be alot stronger than before?

    No the netty would be the same and you could probably get it somewhere between lvl 48 and up. Its hard to try and imagine a new system but keep in mind that the rate of leveling would be different. Leveling would be faster than how it was/is so lvl 50 would be equivalent to 18. Of course this too depends on what is added, maybe a more powerful gun will be added to better fit a new leveling system, maybe not. One thing that would also change is the stat system, strength, dexterity and intelligence would have to be much higher per level to better fit more skill levels. All they would have to do is be changed to a faster rate of leveling and it could work. All things to further elaborate

    Before we go making it super easy to advance in level, you need to realize that there always existed a problem with leveling speed. We saw in booster that leveling was extremely easy, thus people maxed out, and had nothing to do. Just making leveling faster, and mobs easier, will not make things all better. Even with my self made combination of booster/gold monster HP/experience rates people got to end game in a matter of 1-2 months. What needs to happen in order to make monster rebalancing and level rate changes viable, is a multitude of more levels along with a lot more content, worlds, and weapons to use..

    7 is plain untrue, they were not in the game because i removed all references to them. I could give my character any of those weapons at any time, they still existed completely. The elemental weapons caused serious unbalance from the time of their appearance, until the end. I had other plans in mind for them, but they were plans that required the engine source in most cases to get started.

    Phylon weapons, as I understand from alan, would have some serious legal implications. They're also simply not worth using, if we actually have people around to do all these other changes, we can certainly get artists to make some new weaponry and ammo.

    What legal implications? Also i understand that the problem lies in lack of content. I'm very sure of that. I wasn't aware that the only reason you couldn't use the weapons was links but thats useful info. Anyway I'm sure we can find a use for the elemental guns - maybe with better armor balance.

    Elemental guns, more guns, more armor, magic system overhaul, specialty armors (magic armor, elemental armor), more levels, work on level times (no one said make it so easy to level, just a better, more progressive leveling time. I thought it was quite fast as a noob then once over those levels it was like walking into a wall.)

    Phylon guns aren't needed but it would of been nice to at least have some base ideas and styles to work off of.

    Phylon and its content are probably still copyrighted, I do not think it was ever sold. Using the content would be illegal.
