What is the best way to level up ss? Is it by macroing?

Shoot a high level opponent with a quick-firing low level orb. Infant stount is good if you can find a safe shooting spot. This is by far the fastest way.
Or, if you choose to use a focus macro, focus repeatedly with the highest level orb possible (or a level before, to avoid failures (which give little exp), thus, wasted time).

If you want to lvl stats really really quick not to mention lvl SS about as fast as you would with shooting a high lvl mob with a low lvl orb you wan't to use an SS macro. BTW, macroing on a mob is illegal unless you are at your computer at all times lol. So what one sounds better, SS and stats really quick, or just SS really quick + its illegal to not be at the computer while your char is lvling.

Blegh its better to use a orb you fail at at lest a couple out of 5 times. I have never noticed as much gain in Alch, Engi, or SS with stuff I succed with a lot. Dunno tho thats just 7 years experiance. I doubt I have been doing it wrong all this time is what I am saying I have always lvled pretty darn fast that way, I have also tried it the other way lvl before to succed more.

It really just depends on what percentage you're at. Trying to SS into a Grision (L15) when you're at 15.00 won't do you much good when you're failing almost every time. But if you're at 15.60 or something, go ahead. =p

Impact makes a good point. Focus macroing also gives you STR/DEX/WIS. However, it will be slower than sitting in front of a computer and clicking your finger off. =)

oo I see what your saying now, yeah I have used that technique thaught you ment use 15 till your 16 16 till your 17.. My appologize.

It will seem like it takes less time focus macroing I think. Sitting n holding down that shoot button for hours is a real mental challenge.

Ive level my char in wt up to 15 without macro, so it wont be a problem sitting and holding down a button for hours :P

In the case of Infant Stount, you'll be able to shoot much faster (and therefore level faster) by clicking repeatedly instead of holding down the mouse.

P.S. - I will not be held responsible for any fingers requiring amputation! (or super-glue to reattach after falling off)

You could use a shooting macro with infant stount shooting something high leveled, but you must make sure you are at the keyboard, or as I prefer, in visible range of the monitor every 3-5 minutes. Or you could use a focus macro (which I have posted elsewhere) overnight, or anytime you cant be at the monitor every 3-5 minutes. or you could do both. Honestly you would keep your mind sane longer using a focus macro over night, but that's just my opinion.

Focus macro is better your getting 2 things achived at the price + of one and about 10% longer lvling time in real time not counting the mental time it takes to stay infront of the monitor, you really will lvl fast in SS forcus macroing it + stats. Not to mention lving stats with out SS macroing will take longer then it would take to lvl 2 chars to 18max SS focus macroing.

i got one, and a tilly orb i just need the levels to get in it.
