Why do people act so retarded about their cars?

This guy who lives next door to me has a piece of crap 2008 Ford Probe. He always takes up two parking spaces, apparently because he's worried someone will put a door scratch on his Precious. Now he's out there arguing with the other neighbor about "his" parking space. What a f____ing douche.

It's just a hunk of metal dumbass. Some people act like their car is their wife or their kid and get all bent out of shape if someone "disrepects" it.

I waxxed and polished her every weekend without fail...took better care of her than my old lady.

Well, I didn't really think anything was wrong with the pic because that's basically what Jousters and DJs are...huge vaginas. But if Jason says it's inappropriate I respect that.

And with cars...I look at them as utilitarian items these days, something like a good hunting knife or a set of wrenches, it just provides a means of acommplishing a task. When I was younger my car was like an extension of my personality, and it meant everything to me. When I wrecked it I felt like my dog died or something. I finally realized it was just a bunch of metal and fasteners and not all that important in the grand scheme...whatever that is.

What I really loved about it was the routine of working on the car. Sunday was the day I always did a little something to it like rebuilding the carburetor or having the valve covers chromed. If I had a garage and all the tools I'd love to get something like a classic Mustang and restore it to original showroom condition. But then I'd just sell it and find another one to work on.

This was the last vehicle I owned. I could take the back passenger seats out and load it up with tools and material for my little home remodeling contracting jobs, or strap 20 ft lengths of lumber or pipe on the roof racks. Then I'd put the seats back in and it was a family car again for running the kids to school and other activities. It was great but it had cooling problems and aluminum heads and kept blowing gaskets and throwing oil. I finally just sold it for scrap. Don't ever buy one of these Dodge/Plymouth mini vans, they are junk.

I hope you all understand that we have a wide variety of people who play the game. From adults to pre teens, women, Family etc. Everyone should hopefully try to be as considerate as possible of our small yet growing community.

I do tend to get carried away at times. I don't mean any harm, I just have a really warped sense of humor. My apologies if I offend anyone. Feel free to delete anything I post that is questionable, or just ask and I will edit it out myself.
